About Academics

Our Saints apply learning to life

We know life offers a lot to learn
We have high expectations for our Saints’ academic performance. Our intimate atmosphere of small classes and interdisciplinary study allows for rich interactions and close personal relationships between students and teachers, helping students grow intellectually, socially, and creatively. We utilize many active learning methods:  Simulations, experimentation, oral presentations, and travel assure that all students have ample opportunities to excel.  As they move up through the grades, our students gain new freedoms and responsibilities.  By the completion of their St. Paul’s experience, they are competent, confident, and character-filled young adults.

When exchanging ideas and making new discoveries, our students and teachers create moments filled with excitement and intrigue. Classes at St. Paul’s bring students and teachers together for the type of influential encounters that are formed in complex mathematical equations and at the center of ancient literature. Students will be asked to contribute, and will be challenged to articulate their opinions, beliefs, and passions. A seriousness of purpose guides our work in the classroom . . . a seriousness that makes learning a joy.
