Sixth Grade Rutledge Fellows Decorate and Pack Holiday Meal Bags for the Hungry
Sponsors Melanie Fromdahl and Mackensie Turner organized a group of 14 awesome sixth grade Rutledge Fellows to decorate and pack 70 holiday meal bags for the families in St. Paul’s Hunger Matters program. Each bag contained nonperishable food items like vegetables, stuffing mix, mac and cheese, mashed potatoes, and a bag of cookie mix as well as a $15 WalMart food gift card to purchase a turkey or ham. Afterward they helped prepare a wreath craft for the fifth grade trip to the nursing home in December. Special thanks to St. Paul’s Alumni Association for funding this food project!
