Junior Service for Veterans and Troops

 

St. Paul’s Junior class spent the morning of Thursday November 7^th doing projects to honor both veterans and active-duty military.  Chaperones Scott McDonald, Zac Lambrecht, Ryne Baxter, and Laura McGee traveled to the Veterans Cemetery in Bay Minnette to place thousands of flags on graves for Veterans Day under the direction of Margaret Coley.  Leslie Lerner and Julie Albrecht coordinated a group to decorate the campus for the Veterans Day assembly and write letters while Tyler Kerns and Drew Tranchina worked with Sylvie Rihner of Dixie Rear Detachment to pack 10 large boxes of snacks for deployed troops.  Chip Goff, Christy Logan, David Armstrong, Lisa McDonough and Rachel Giles made hundreds of patriotic and Christmas cards to go in the boxes as well as colored a banner with the regiment’s insignia.
