Junior Service Day For Veterans

 

St. Paul’s Junior class continued their tradition of honoring veterans and active-duty military for their grade level service day on Thursday November 6^th.  The students packed snack bags, made hundreds of patriotic and Christmas cards, and placed almost 5000 flags on the graves of veterans at the Alabama State Veterans Cemetery.  The bags and cards will be distributed to a number of local veterans’ agencies including the Veterans Resource Center and Eagles Landing.  Special thanks to guest speaker Margaret Coley and chaperones Scott McDonald, Tyler Kerns, Ryne Baxter, Renea Greene, Doug Robertson, Chip Goff, Christy Logan, Rachel Giles, Missy Powell, Zac Lambrecht, David Armstrong, Jill Drum, Catraina Norton, and Lisa McDonough.
